End-to-End Encrypted Messaging

Our messaging system is engineered for maximum security — with self-destructing messages, no stored metadata, and zero access to your conversations, not even by us at Pyram. Every chat is protected by advanced Double Ratchet encryption, but we’ve taken it a step further.

DOUBLE MAZE LOCK ENCRYPTION MESSAGING

Pyram introduces a never-before-seen security system that protects your encrypted chats even more. Both users manually set their own 3-digit PINs, which combine into a unique 6-digit access code — the only way to unlock the encrypted chat. This code isn't generated by the app. It's created by you and the other person — manually, privately, and intentionally. For maximum security, we recommend setting your code in person. Otherwise, use the most trusted method available like an already encrypted chat, call or voice note. Only you two should ever know the code.

This system is layered on top of Double Ratchet encryption, where new encryption keys are constantly generated for every part of the conversation. Each time a user leaves and re-enters the chat, they're issued a fresh, unique key, keeping everything airtight and forward-secure. There are no stored keys, no server access, and not even Pyram can view or reset your code. If the other person doesn't have their half of the PIN, the chat stays locked, permanently. It's ultra-secure for real-world use, and as close to bulletproof as you can get.

By splitting the 6-digit key into two 3-digit pins, neither user can access the encryption keys alone.

• It prevents one-sided leaks — if a user tries to share their pin or key, it's useless without the other half.
• Makes it extremely difficult for external attackers to brute-force or intercept keys unless both users are compromised.
• Only when both keys are entered and aligned correctly does the system unlock.

How It Works

1. User A & User B each create a custom 3-digit PIN.
2. The system merges these PINs into a hidden 6-digit key (like solving both sides of the maze).
3. This 6-digit key is used as the decryption token for unlocking the private chat.
4. Neither user can access the chat unless both PINs are entered correctly.
5. The system never stores the full key—only validates it during unlock.
6. Option to scramble the lock if one user resets their PIN (like resetting the maze).

Encrypted Channels

Encrypted Channels on Pyram are built with the same end-to-end protection as private messages — no metadata, no central access, and no user tracking. Every post inside a channel is encrypted in transit and only viewable by members, with no links to the original poster. Admins can manage content without ever seeing user data. For extra protection, screenshot blocking and screen record prevention can be enabled by the channel owner. Whether public or private, your content stays yours, encrypted and anonymous. We’ve even built in audio record blockers to prevent audio leaks inside messages, channels, and across the entire app.

Encrypted Voice Notes

Protected with full end-to-end encryption from the moment you hit record. Your voice is instantly encrypted in transit, with no metadata, no sender trace, and no way to link it back to your account. Notes are never stored in a way we — or anyone else — can access. You can also enable voice changer mode for added anonymity, and once a note is sent, it can't be edited — only deleted. It's private, untraceable, and completely in your control — just like it should be.

If you have a standard account, it's as easy to delete a account all with 3 clicks. Settings > Delete Account > Confirm.

DRM Protection
